Personal memory is an intriguing phenomenon, which helps us to situate ourselves amongst the people around us. Our memories form a sense of identity that connect us to the larger world. This body of work explores how objects, and cloth objects in particular, inexplicably hold the memory and identity of people, places, and events and in a nostalgic sense, act as a tool for memory recall.
This series of personal narratives is conveyed through multiple woven panels, while simultaneously expressing the inevitable distortion and decay of memory over time.
